New Threat from Terrorists

By: Import User
Updated: January 25, 2007
Word out of Washington, that terrorists may have new, more vulnerable targets in mind, and one of them is right here in our area, the V.A. Medical Center in Plains Township. V.A. officials were unaware of the situation, until 28 News contacted them. The Veterans Affairs Medical Center police force patrolling the grounds say security is the same as it`s been since September 11th. So far the Office of Homeland Security has not outlined a specific threat to V.A. hospitals. V.A. security officials say they are ready and plan to increase patrols and set up barricades. Intelligence experts say the new threats have not singled out any one facility, just that all of them could be targeted.
