The state is stepping in to help the 670 workers laid off from the Techneglas plant in Pittston.
At a meeting organized by the State Labor Department, former Techneglas employees got the chance to learn which programs and services are available for them to use. They also set up appointments for information on their benefits, and enrolled in Pennsylvania Career Link.
More meetings will be held this Thursday and Friday at
9:30 am and 1:30 pm at the Pittston Convention Center.
