Train Derailment

A train derailment in Lackawanna county today causing a scare.
It happened around 12:30 this afternoon in Taylor... not far from Main street on the D-and-H rail line.
Three box cars on a Canadian Pacific train overturned. One landed on a canister containing 500 pounds of propane. That posed an environmental risk. At times, the fumes were overwhelming, making it difficult to breath but a strong breeze helped to quickly bring air levels back to normal.
Railroad workers say this is one of their main lines and they need to get back in business soon.
Crews told us the clean-up should take about 24 hours before the track is up and running again.
