WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY- We have an update to a story the I-Team broke Thursday evening. It's about an investigation into missing money in the West Pittston Police Department.

Thursday night a veteran police officer was fired as a result of that investigation.  The borough's souncil voted to fire Joseph Campbell.

They would not comment on the reason why but the I-Team has confirmed it has to do with missing or possibly stolen money from the DARE program.

The chief called the Luzerne County District Attorney's office to investigate. As of now charges have not been filed against anyone.
