A long time Union County sporting goods store will soon close. The owners of WL Donehower's Shoe and Sport in Lewisburg say the competition is just too stiff. The store should be open through September. Hometown Heroes Opens A new bar honoring police, firefighters and military personnel opened in Dunmore, Lackawanna County. A parade kicked off opening night festivities for the Hometown Heroes Bar. The walls are covered with photos and memorabilia of our local heroes. Cosmo’s Opens You don't have to go to Philly to get your Philly cheese steaks anymore. Cosmos opened on Moosic Street in Scranton. The menu's limited but reasonably priced. A sandwich will set you back 7 bucks. Ollie's Outlet Moves Ollie's Bargain outlet opened in a new and improved space in Hazleton. The discount store fills the former Value City in the ChurchHill Mall on Route 309. Ulta Beauty Opens A new beauty store celebrated its grand opening at the Arena Hub in Wilkes-Barre Township. Ulta offered free beauty services during its opening weekend. Blue Chip Gourmet Opens And former Penguin Dennis Bonvie opened a new eatery in downtown Wilkes-Barre. The Blue Chip Gourmet on South Main Street serves cookies, baked goods, coffee, ice cream, sandwiches and wraps. |
