7/30- Coutdown to Pocono- Thursday

The NASCAR series is once again coming to the Pocono Hills for the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500. With qualifying just one day away, many wonder who is the favorite to finish with the checkered flag.
Coming into Pocono, Denny Hamlin has opened some eyes. Hamlin is 6th in the Sprint Cup standings and has raced very well at Pocono in the past.
In 2006, Hamlin's rookie season, yhe won his first Nextel Cup race of his career at Pocono Raceway with the Pocono 500. When the returned to the track in July, Hamlin once again walked away with the checkered flag. Hamlin is one of two racers to ever sweep a track in their rookie season, the other Jimmy Johnson at Dover.
With Hamlin lacking a victory in 2009, many believe Pocono is his time to shine. -
