topic of this Sunday’s WBRE-TV Eyewitness Newsmakers with Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda and Anchorman Andy Mehalshick. Ruth’s Place is a shelter for women. Bugda and Mehalshick will have as their guests Julie Benjamin and Stefanie Wolownik of Ruth’s Place. Both women are tireless workers committed to helping women who are alone and in need of a place to stay. The shelter is open every night and with the winter weather fast approaching the number of women staying there is growing. Over the years, Ruth’s Place has been a safe haven that has provided help, hope and a second chance for many women. Ruth’s Place is in need of a permanent home, volunteers and donations. They will also discuss the Ruth’s Place Awareness Walk and Rally and fundraiser “A Mile in Her Shoes” which will be held Sunday, November 16th from 1 to 4 on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre. WBRE-TV Eyewitness Newsmakers will air this Sunday, November 16th , at 5:30 a.m. and at 11 a.m. The program will be repeated on Sunday, November 23rd at 5:30 a.m. Ruth's Place
