In central Pennsylvania, there's a simple way to get into the holiday spirit and give back to the community. The Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees has once again set up their mitten tree at the Public Library for Union County. Mittens, scarves, hats, books, and toys can be dropped off here between now and December 7th. The items will then be sorted and handed out to needy children in the area. Organizers hope to top the 1,440 items collected here last year. ![]() |
