KINGSTON. LUZERNE COUNTY --We've all heard of the Snuggie. But now the blanket with sleeves is going to the dogs. The maker of the Snuggie has unveiled a new product that claims to keep your pooch warm while keeping their paws free!

The Snuggie was such a hit last winter --that you'd expect its maker to come out with something new. And here it is. The Snuggie for Dogs. But before you buy it --and embarrass your pup--we try it.

We caught up with Gracie in her backyard in Kingston, Luzerne County. Jim Tweedy “we got her a year and a half ago from a rescue organization. She's a border collie mix." Jim Tweedy says Gracie loves to run, loves her family, and loves to chew on crab apples. But he's not convinced she'll love Snuggie for dogs.

The commercial says "Just like the Snuggie you love, Snuggie Dog is made of ultra soft fleece to keep your pet toasty warm when out in the chilly air."

“You're going to love this I promise." Jim places Gracie’s paws in the sleeves, then secures the Velcro tabs. How does she like it? Well, I don't think she's spinning for joy. “I don't think she's going to have much patience for it...not work with this dog. Gracie tears it off when our camera stops rolling.

But we want a second opinion. Bob the Puggle gives it a try. Alisha Albert of Plains says “what do you think of the Snuggie? It’s ridiculous actually." Albert says her dog looks ridiculous wearing one too. But Bob doesn't seem to mind it. Oh wait…is he lifting his leg? That answers that question. Bad style and bad idea. We bought the Snuggies for $9.99 each at Bed Bath and Beyond. If you decide you want one anyway, I'd recommend buying one from a store and not online. They've been back ordered for at least two months.
