Reported by: Eyewitness News Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @05:03am EST If you want to get a sneak peek at the election ballot before you head out the door, there's a web site that helps. It's smartvoter.org - just copy and paste that into your web browser. The web site allows you to simply enter your zip code to see the ballot for your area. It also helps you search for your polling police and even helps provide directions to that place. The League of Women Voters warns voters -- if they print and mark their choices on the page and take it to the polls, they ask you to be careful and look closely as you make your choices, because the web site is not an official sample ballot. Also, in some counties, only state and federal race information is available. It's up to individual counties, boroughs, townships, etc., to work with the League to make sure more specific information is available. |
