Reported by: Jeff Chirico Tuesday, Sep 29, 2009 @05:43pm EDT BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY --Consumer Reporter Jeff Chirico puts Rubik's 360 to the Tuesday Tryout. It's the next generation of the Rubik's Cube.
Things are always spinning at the Bloomsburg Fair but never like this. "Rubik's 360. Pick it up. Take it on. By spinning, twisting and flipping." Get the balls in the domes --and you win! "You've got to be kidding me." It's easier said than done. "You got yellow one out. Oh. It went back in." Folks at the fair kept at it. "We could be here all day." Figuring out how each weighted inner sphere spins makes their minds spin. Jared Layser of Hershey says “this is fun for a little while. But it would drive me crazy." 9 –year-old Katie Herald says “the thing spins so you can't get it back. It would take me 2 days to get this done." Once you get the ball out, some gentle guiding… "Yay! I got one in." Only 4 to go. Jen Starosta of Hunlock Creek says “team work. You need team work." So does it pass the Tuesday Tryout? “I'd recommend it. It's pretty fun. Interesting. Keep you busy? Definitely. For two days at least...definitely keeps me busy." If you have patience --the Rubik's 360 spins up the Tryometer. We bought the Rubik's 360 at Target for $12.99. ![]() |
