We believe you will fit in at Shenandoah if you value: A small community where you know the faculty who teach your classes. Our faculty take an active role in helping you meet your academic goals through classes, outside projects, internships and honors programs. A small campus set in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley but close enough for you to enjoy all the urban offerings of Washington DC and Baltimore.

The option of personalizing your education with over 80 academic majors and the option of multiple minors, study abroad experiences, honors courses and fast-track approaches to graduate school. The opportunity to be actively involved in multiple campus organizations including 16 Division III sports the minute you step onto campus.

Freshmen

For prospective freshmen the college choice process can many times feel like a full-time job. We understand that and will do our best to help you through the process as you consider Shenandoah University. We want to help you find the answer to the question: “Will I fit-in at Shenandoah University?” We invite you to begin by looking at the majors we offer at Shenandoah. We strongly encourage you to attend one of our many Open House programs where you will be given an SU admissions overview, tour campus with a Student Ambassador, meet faculty members, hear from students and eat in our dining hall. We encourage you to follow-up with a private visit with an admissions counselor as well as a coach, student activity advisor or specific faculty member. We also hope you will attend one of the many performances in the Shenandoah Conservatory or an athletic event on campus.

For Transfer Students

For transfer students the process of transferring from one college to another can be complicated and time consuming. We understand that and will do our best to help you as you consider transferring to Shenandoah University.

After you determine Shenandoah has your major and you wish to transfer here, we strongly encourage you to arrange a private visit to campus. You will meet one-on-one with an admissions counselor who will arrange for you to meet with a faculty member in your chosen area, coaches or students in campus organizations.

One of the most critical pieces in transferring is making sure Shenandoah has ALL of your transcripts from any colleges or universities you have attended.
