Lyons and student director, Kathryn Priestash, will present two one-act fairy tale comedies, Big Bad and Happily Never After, on November 7 and 8, 2009. Big Bad takes us through the trial of the Big Bad Wolf with prosecuter, The Fairy God Mother, and Defense Attorney, The Evil Stepmother! With funny plantiffs such as the three little pigs, a bratty Little Red Riding Hood, the troublekmaing Boy Who Cried Wolf, and more, this one act is sure to please audiences from ages 3-99. Happily Never After takes place in a couselor's office, the writer of all of the happily ever after fairytales, but when the couples realize their lives are not happily ever after, they want a change! Prince Charming can't stand Cinderella's simple ways, the Frog Prince still croaks, and Sleeping Beauty is always sleeping. Both shows are targetd for a young audience with entertainment children and adults of any age will enjoy! Show dates are November 7th with two performances at 1pm and 5pm, and November 8 at 6pm. Tickets are $7.00 for adults/seniors and $5.00 for students/children. Reservations are being accepted for children's organizations/groups. All other tickets may be purchased, day of show, at the door, at the Coughlin High School auditorium on 80 N. Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre.
