Event Details:The Poconos are blessed with diverse geologic features. Most prominent is the Pocono Plateau. The high flat land of the plateau gives way to the surrounding ridge and valley region quite emphatically. The transition zone is called the Pocono Escarpment. The dramatic drop in elevation coupled with our pristine streams give rise to spectacular waterfalls. Now imagine this incredible scene superimposed on the splendor of an autumnal day. Sparkling water cascading over ancient sandstone ledges bathed in Falls beautiful colors. Enjoy this scene in person with Environmental Educator Darryl Speicher on Tuesdays starting October 13. There will be 5 trips between October 13 and November 10. All programs will start at the EE Center at 9am and return at 1pm and include van transportation. Cost per trip: $15/non-member, $10/EE member. Cost for all five: $60/non-member, $40/EE member. Pre-registration and payment are required and limited. Refunds will be given only if notification is made at least one week prior to the trip.
