Ándale and step into the cultures of Latin America to celebrate the Day of the Dead/Los Dias de los Muertos by building ofrendas, making skeleton masks and dolls, creating tissue paper flowers and papel picado (punched paper) designs, and calculating in Mayan math! The Day of the Dead is a holiday of remembrance in Latin America, and families all over Central and South America celebrate their ancestors with special displays in the home and at the public cemeteries. Children of all ages are welcome to make some of the traditional decorations and supplies for this special holiday—adult guidance is required.
