Master Control OperatorMaster control is the main control center for airing television broadcasts. Every audio and video source in the TV station from tape machines to CBS and NBC networks can be placed “on the air” from here. The master control operator, by following the station’s programming log, places the appropriate programs and commercials on the air. The MCO also notes and corrects all log errors, preventing incorrect or dated program material to be aired. Other primary duties include monitoring the off-air signal to maintain legal operation, and making adjustments to audio and video levels. MCO’s also tune in all incoming satellite and terrestrial microwave feeds, dub commercials and programs, and assist the engineering department. Television engineering experience a plus. News DirectorNBC affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton seeks an experienced News Director to lead an accomplished news department. Will be responsible for the overall supervision and development of the news department. Individuals with the ability to lead, motivate and teach are encouraged to apply. Duties will include, but are not limited to, brand management, daily story selection, news promotion and website content.
