Eric Scheiner

Eric Scheiner came to Northeastern Pennsylvania to join
WYOU from Manchester, New Hampshire. It was there that he received
a BA in Communications from Notre
Dame College.
In 1995 he started his broadcasting career at WGIR AM/FM in Manchester
and then moved on to be a General Assignment Reporter for independent
television station WNDS in Derry,
NH in 1998. Over his years at
WNDS, Eric became noon anchor and eventually was promoted to anchor of the
evening news. His reporting on subjects as diverse as crime, politics, and
entertainment, earned him several awards from both The Associated Press and The
New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters.
By 2005, Eric was Anchor for an interactive issues
program for WZMY in Derry, NH. It was his love for the interactive
format that piqued his interest in what has happening at WYOU. "It's the
format that's the most engaging because of the conversations you get to take
part in with the viewer."
Eric joined up with the WYOU news team for the debut of
the new interactive format on September 5th, 2006. He's now just a phone call
away weeknights at 5, 6, and 11 on WYOU. Eric and his wife Sara and daughter
Meredith are happy to be welcomed into this community.
