    Doug Currin
Doug CurrinDoug Currin is an award winning journalist anchoring WBRE Eyewitness News at 5AM 6AM and 11AM with Eva Mastromatteo and Kristi Capel.

Currin's most recent stop was in Fayetteville, Arkansas as senior reporter / anchor. Before that, Currin was the principal anchor in Yuma, Arizona.

Prior to his on-air debut, Currin served as one of many producers on the other side of the lens for CNN's "Wolf Blitzer Reports," a pre-cursor to "The Situation Room."

At CNN, Currin helped cover the war in Iraq, the death of President Ronald Reagan, the capture of Saddam Hussein, presidential elections and congressional events. Currin also worked briefly on "CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer," "Judy Woodruff's Inside Politics," and "Inside Politics Sunday," all former political talk shows based in the district.

Currin also had various internships at Washington, DC and New York City television and radio stations. A self-proclaimed news addict, Doug had the opportunity to meet and interview such political newsmakers such as Vernon Jordan, Mike Huckabee, Governor Mike Beebe, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, U.N. Ambassador Dr. Susan Rice, Jim Kuhn, Evan Hendricks, Senator John McCain, Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, former President Jimmy Carter, Gov. Ed Rendell, and other congressional and international leaders.
