Meet The Staff: Jeff Chirico
Jeff Chirico
Jeff Chirico returned to Northeastern Pennsylvania to join WBRE's I-Team as
consumer reporter in October 2006. After growing up in Bucks County, Jeff hopped
on the Northeast Extension and headed north to Scranton. He spent four fantastic
years as a communication and philosophy major at the University of Scranton. He
still calls them the best four years of his life...especially the moment he
first tasted Buffalo chicken wings at Kelly's (MMMMMM!). Jeff's reporting career
has taken him to Blue Ridge Communication in Lehighton, Berks County News in
Reading and WLVT in Bethlehem. At WLVT, Jeff helped launch a nightly
newsmagazine show as reporter and later host of a weekly program. He also
produced documentaries that earned him three Mid-Atlantic Emmys, four
Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Awards and an Edward. R. Murrow Award
for documentary excellence. When not working you'll find Jeff working on his
home and playing with his rare Swedish Vallhund pup rescued
from the Katrina-ravaged Gulf Coast.
