Armed Forces Day Drawing and Essay Contest Information

Lackawanna County is hosting an essay contest for Armed Services Day. The contest is open to students in 3rd to 12th grades. For Students in Kindergarten through second grade there is a drawing contest.
Here are the requirements:
Drawings for the contest should be on an 8.5 X 11 paper.
3rd- 8th: Essay should be no less than 100 words but no more than 300 words.
9th- 12th: Essay should be no less than 300 words but no more than 500 words.
The format for the writing contests can be a traditional essay or poem.
Each entry must include the student's name, grade, school district, address, telephone number or e-mail along with a parent's name and contact information.

All participants must be a resident of Lackawanna County.
There will be a winner from each grade. Prizes will be awarded.
