Berwick, Columbia County- Berwick police say the safe was in the basement of a municipal building when they moved in back in 2009.
It was put there in 1966.
The chief says the safe is too small to store police munitions and isn't suitable for an evidence locker.
The safe is now outside the building waiting for the person with the highest bid to haul it away.
Interested? The bidding will start at three thousand dollars. Bids will be accepted beginning February 22nd and close on March 8, 2013.
