Hanover Township, Luzerne County--    Bentley's Restaurant near Wilkes-Barre unexpectedly closed its doors in November of 2012 and that threw many of its customers who had paid to use the venue into turmoil. Desiree Bannon who coordinates the prom for Hanover Area Junior Senior High School says the students are worried that they may have to somehow raise more money for their prom. Bannon said, "These are teenagers who really count on this money raised with fundraisers to offset the costs to the prom. For some people it doesn't sound like alot of money for these kids it's a big deal." She added, "They sent us a letter in November saying we would get our deposit returned but 90 days later and we haven't heard a thing."  The I-Team was able to contact the owner through a third party. We were assured by that third party that all the money will be returned not only to the students but also other customers including several brides. The customers can file complaints with the State Attorney General's Office. The I-Team will be monitoring the situation and will have updates in the days and weeks ahead.

My wife and I had a baby shower scheduled for November 3, 2012 at Bentley's. After contacting the Attorney General and receiving a letter directly from the President of Bentley's stating we would be refunded our $500 deposit, we still have not been refunded.
