Pike County Bar Association donates $10,000 to CDD

Milford, Pike County-Attorney Elizabeth Erickson Kameen, President of Pike County Bar Association hasannounced the donation of $10,000.00 to the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) of PikeCounty. She stated "The Bar Association is grateful for the opportunity to support children withdevelopmental disabilities and delays and to provide the much needed support to the children of ourcommunity." Shepraised the bar association and its members for their continuing generosity in ourcommunity. "The generosity of our members when it comes to giving to the community is trulyheartwarming" commented President Erickson Kameen.

The Pike Bar Association's contribution will be utilized for the CDD's innovative educational and therapeutic programs for children with developmental disabilities and delays ages 0-5. The Pike County Bar Association is an active community based organization which serves the lawyers, judges and the public of Pike County, Pennsylvania, by nurturing the highest professional and ethical standards for attorneys; providing continuing legal education; encouraging collegiality and assisting members in the practice of law.

Ann Gillerlane, CDD Executive Director, stated, "The CDD is honored to receive this extremely generous donation from the Pike County Bar Association (PCBA). It has been an extremely challenging year for us with budget cuts and delayed funding." For more than 40 years, the Center for Developmental Disabilities of Pike County, Ltd. has provided educational, therapeutic, and family support services for children with developmental delays and disabilities from birth to kindergarten age.
