Pocono Environmental Education Center Hosts Eagle Watches

Lehman Township, Dingmans Ferry, PA - Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) will be presenting several Eagle Watches during January & February. Each of the Eagle Watches will be led by Jan Lakuta and will include visits to the Mongaup Reservoir, the Delaware River, and the Eagle Institute. Participants will look for winter residents and nesting pairs. The events will be held Saturday, January 26; Saturday, February 2; and Sunday, February 3. All programs will be held from 9:00am-3:00pm and the cost is $25 per person.

For more information or to register, call PEEC at 570-828-2319. Participants should register at least one week in advance to guarantee a seat in the van. Participants should bring a lunch and a camera and dress in warm layers. The groups will all meet at PEEC's main building to begin the eagle watching adventure.

PEEC's mission is to advance environmental education, sustainable living, and appreciation for nature through hands-on experience in a national park. PEEC provides unique, year-round environmental experiences to families, school groups, scouts, and nature enthusiasts of all ages. The environmental center is located near mile marker 8, within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, in Dingmans Ferry, PA (Lehman Township).
