Lackawanna County- The Dime Bank has donated $10,000 to Lackawanna College in support of the Lackawanna College Environmental Institute. The Dime Bank's donation will be used to meet the mission of the Environmental Institute's culinary and hospitality programs. These programs will allow students in the Lake Region to focus on sustainable growing and food preparation and their effects on the environment. The contribution will benefit over four hundred students in grades K through 12, and will also offer professional development for educators throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

This donation was made in 2012 as a part of the PA Department of Community and Economic Development's Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
The EITC program provides tax credits to businesses that make contributions to approved organizations in the area of education improvement/learning.

The Dime Bank has been helping customers meet their financial needs since 1905.
