Attempted Child Abduction Under Investigation in Columbia County

Columbia County-Police in Columbia county are investigating an attempted child abduction.

Authorities tell us a seven-year-old boy says two men approached him at the intersection of North and Main Street in Benton Tuesday afternoon.

The boy told police they offered him candy.

He was able to get away.

Officials say the men were in a rusty, red pick-up truck with a silver toolbox in the cab.
