Daffodil days has been raising money for cancer awareness for nearly four decades.
But this year's program will be the last, nationwide.
Members of the American Cancer Society decided to end Daffodil Days so the organization can focus on programs that can be done consistently across the country.
"Its been around 40 years. We have volunteers that have been involved in that program for almost that entire time. So especially for them I think its a bittersweet moment. But the work that they put in is what sustained it for so many years." said Jamie Kane of the American Cancer Society

The Daffodil Days program has raised more than 240-million dollars for the American Cancer Society in the last 14 years.
