Tamaqua Band Members Recognized

Tamaqua High School-Two Tamaqua Area H.S. band members were selected to perform for the 2013 PMEA
District 10 Orchestra festival held on January 9, 10, 11, and 12 at Daniel Boone
High School.
Seniors Shane Mulligan and Molly Betz
attended the festival. The District 10 Orchestra is comprised of some of the
best instrumentalists from a seven county area of east and east central
Pennsylvania. The ensemble was selected from over 850 auditioning students in
December.
Mulligan and Betz of The Tamaqua Area High School 'Raider' Band were also selected for the 2013 Region V Band Festival. The festival will take place at Bangor Area High School on March 6-9, 2013.The guest conductor for the festival is Dr. Peter Loel Boonshaft of Hofstra University.
Additionally, Shane Mulligan, Molly Betz, Damian Munoz, and Jared Sharpe were
selected for the District 10 Band Festival that was held January 23, 24, 25, and
26, 2013 at Conrad Weiser High School in Robesonia.
