Wilkes-Barre Police Investigating Three Shootings in the City (6 pm Live)

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County- Gunfire erupted at around 2:30 am in the 100 block of Scott Street in Wilkes-Barre. A police officer on patrol in the area heard gunshots and was on the scene in minutes. Investigators say 42 year old Leroy Smith was shot  in the chest. He died at the scene.
   20 year old Jamel Martin was shot in the head and remains in critical condition at a trauma center.
  It happened near Don Kaspers Watering Hole.
 We spoke to a bar employee who did not want to be shown on camera. The employee said they heard six shots and then ducked
 

Neighbors say they are not surprised..

"Wow well that's been happening alot lately in Wilkes-Barre you see shootings and stabbing mostly at night." said Mark Warke

Wilkes-Barre police on the move just after noon later responding to a shooting on Coal Street. A man was found shot in the stomach..  He was on the porch of the Alan Grocery and Deli...
   The person's name or condition has not been released.
