Today I'm on location in Miami at a restaurant that's been an American institution for over 98 years - Joe's Stone Crab - nestled in the heart of South Beach, just steps from the world-famous Ocean Drive, where you're sandwiched between miles of white sandy beaches, colorful art deco hotels, endless outdoor cafes and, of course, there's lots of celebrity sightings! And no trip here would be complete without a stop at Joe's, because no one serves stone crabs like they do. When presidents, kings, and queens are in south Florida, Joe's is a must! Every day during stone crab season (which runs from now right on through May), we serve up thousands of pounds of them, and one of the keys to making them so good is to make sure the shell is cracked properly, so they're easy to eat like this. Wow! Just look at these! Mmm...and they're easy to eat! After a dip in Joe's famous mustard sauce, it's time to dig in. They literally melt in your mouth! But man can't live on stone crabs alone. That's why I ordered up their incredible lyonnaise potatoes and their to-die-for coleslaw!
Waiter: Mr. Food, don't forget to save room for some key lime pie! Mr. Food: Are you kidding?! There's always room for that! It's my favorite! You can really taste the freshly squeezed key lime juice in every bite, and I love the traditional buttery graham cracker crust. As a matter of fact, I actually got them to share their secret "Key Lime Pie" recipe with me and I posted it online just for you! Oh, I love South Beach, I love Joe's, I love all the "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!! "
