Mr. Food: Bacon Monkey Bread

These days it seems like everyone's going hog wild for bacon! Whether it's served traditionally as the sidekick to our eggs (and who doesn't like that?) Or piled high on a BLT! We love the taste, don't we? And recently it's been showing up in all sorts of unexpected dishes - even in ice cream! So, that's why my Test Kitchen team and I decided to pair it with one of our most popular fun-to-eat recipes...just watch! After cooking off some bacon until its good and crispy, we crumble it and mix it with some grated Parmesan cheese and a chopped onion. We'll give that a good mix. Now, after cutting a few packages of refrigerated buttermilk biscuits into quarters, we dip about a third of them into melted butter, and those go into a sprayed bundt pan. Over that we sprinkle on about half of the bacon mixture and repeat the layers with the remaining biscuit pieces and bacon mixture, Ending with the biscuit pieces, and all we do now, is pop it in the oven for 40 minutes or so and get ready for the whole house to fill with the scent of bacon mixed with the aroma of freshly baked bread! And when we serve this warm, and everyone pulls pieces off to enjoy...for a snack or teamed with any meal...mmm...mmm...no doubt this is gonna disappear in a flash! Look, the recipe for our ultimate "Bacon Monkey Bread" is online now...for you and me and well just about everyone to go hog wild about! And that hog wild taste - might just have us all squealing..... OOH IT'S SO GOOD!! "
