Nanticoke, Luzerne County---22 year old Phylcia Thomas of Sweet Valley disappeared without a trace in February of 2004. Her family has been relentless in trying to find her and over the weekend recieved a call from State Police seeking her dental records. A skull was found in a wooded area near Nanticoke on Saturday afternoon and police are still trying to confirm an identity. Pauline Bailey, the mother of Thomas, said, "Our hearts dropped again. I mean how many times can we go through this? We want Phylcia back and we want to know what happened to her." Another young woman, 18 year old Jen Barziloski, also vanished from the same area in the same time period. Sher skull was found in April of 2010 near Hunlock Creek. Bailey told Eyewitness News, "I know who did this and I known who was involved I just can't prove it."

Joanne, the police have previously asked for the dental records. The dental records were lost by a third party the fact the police nor the family have the dental records is not the family nor the police's fault this time.

This is outrageous! Why after 8 plus years, while Phylica Thomas has been missing and her family believes she was murdered, would the police go to her family for dental records NOW.? If the Police (local and state) were doing their job, that info should have been taken years ago. Have they not had to use them in comparing other remains found locally? A family can barely get through the lost of their loved one. Most of the time their only hope is to know the police are really working on (their) case. I would like to know why and how such a huge part of information that apparently the police did not have in it's investigation could have been ignorantly missed?
