DUI Victims Memorial In Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County- On Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in conjunction with Northeast Highway Safety Program, the Wilkes-Barre Police Department, Luzerne County DUI Program and the Luzerne County District Attorney Office the DUI Victims Moving Memorial will be at Public Square, Wilkes-Barre.
The Memorial is making a stop to remind the public of the dangers of drinking and driving and to celebrate safety this holiday season. The event is also being held in conjunction with the statewide "Operations Safe Holiday" program which runs through January 1.
The Pennsylvania DUI Association has developed a DUI Victims Moving Memorial. The memorial is a trailer featuring a 25 foot wall printed with names of DUI victims that have been honored in the memorial garden, which is located in Harrisburg.
