Police say just after 5 am Sunday morning three men wearing masks and gloves..and carrying guns stormed into a home in the 600 block of Hayes Street. The home invaders ordered the residents, a mother and her two young children around the house. The took a TV and a video game. Nobody was hurt.
The I-Team knocked on the door of the home today-someone yelled out to us--asking who we were--but did not want to comment....
City Detectives say crimes like this are tough to prevent..and hope somebody calls with information that can lead to the suspects.
They add many home invasions don't start out with an intended target..
"The great majority of the times people are trying to break into your home thinking it's unoccupied. Doing things like leaving lights on in your residence and having neighbors take care of your house things like that are great steps keeping your residence safe." said Ken Zipovsky of the Hazleton City Police.
