Attempted Armed Robbery Along Route 93 in Luzerne County

Sugarloaf, Luzerne County- The Sugarloaf Township Police Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday December 12th just before midnight.
According to police the victim was driving on State Route 93 when a female stood along the side of the road signaling for help. The victim stopped and the woman informed the victim that she had a flat tire. The victim offered to change the flat tire. When he approached the vehicle a male ran our of a wooded area with a pocket knife and demanded money.

The vehicle is described as a dark green Ford Focus, 4 door.
