McAdoo, Schuylkill County- Craig and Shawn Christy of McAdoo spent nearly 11 months in federal prison in Alaska after they were arrested for sending threatening emails and making more than 500 phone calls to former vice-presidential candidate and Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin...
The Christy's pleaded guilty to one count each of harassment...
They say it all has to do with a supposed threatening  letter sent by Shawn to Palin..

"All of a sudden they came up with this letter.  a letter saying he was threatening her daughter and everything like that ever did anything like that so yeah we went overboard we go upset." Craig Christy told the I-Team's Andy Mehalshick.

And so did Sarah P alin who called in Federal authorities,-fearing this father and son..
The Christys were arrested and taken to a  federal prison in Anchorage Alaska..
They spent 10 and a half months in detention..pleading guilty to harassment..they were placed on five years probation and told to stay away from and never try to contact Palin or her family...

The Christy's insist it all began because they wanted to support Palin..

"Andy question: Do you mean any harm or ill will to Mrs Palin?..No I mean I wouldn't vote for her at this point I don't mean any ill will against her." said Shawn Christy.
